Wayne State University student-athletes had another stellar semester in the classroom during the Winter 2009 term with 55.4 percent of the student-athletes recording at least a 3.00 term grade-point average.
"This underscores what has been an impressive year for the student-athletes and coaches at WSU," stated Wayne State University Athletics Director Rob Fournier.
"When you consider we will finish with our highest ranking ever in the national Directors' Cup standings (NACDA), we volunteered 5,230 hours in the community and the laudatory academic record of the Fall and Winter terms, they can look back with pride and remark, `job well done."
Twenty-one student-athletes, from 11 different sports, recorded perfect 4.00 term gpa.
