Wow! Just finished a great practice. We're starting to focus on preparing for the season. We'll look at some different line-ups tomorrow during our scrimmage with Madonna. Madonna is one of the top NAIA programs in the Midwest, and will be a good test for us. We're making a lot of progress in a number of areas, but it will be great to play someone else so we can evaluate our progress a little better.
The team has come together really well. Katy Westenberg and Maureen MacDonald have done a great job of welcoming all of the new players to the team and teaching everyone the Wayne State way. We have eleven days until our first official match, so it will be important to keep teaching as we prepare for our tournament at the University of Indianapolis on September 3-4.
